Disciplinary Committee

Nursing education comprises of teaching ethics to the students so as to prepare them as professionals. As part of this preparation the institute ensures that the students maintain rules, regulations put forth by the governing bodies. Maintaining discipline and taking corrective remedial measures for non-compliance of the rules, regulation and ethics is the main purpose of formulating the disciplinary committee.

AIM:

To ensure and maintain discipline amongst the students and ensure safety of all students.

OBJECTIVES

1. To maintain discipline in the campus, college premises, classroom as well as in the hospitals wherever the students are posted
2. To achieve the goal of creating a safe, motivating and accepting college environment by supporting the use of positive attitudes and practices.
3. To uptake measures for inappropriate behavior including progressive discipline comprising suspension and expulsion where necessary
4. Plans, develops and displays the rules and regulations to be followed by the students at college, clinical /practice field and hostel.
5. Maintains professional behavior/etiquettes among students throughout the course of B.SC(N)

FUNCTIONS

• Detecting and examining behavioral problems among students.
• Meeting with misbehaving students and taking decisions on incidents of indiscipline.
• Promoting general discipline of the campus including hostel.
• Taking suitable action towards students' misconduct.
